About
This website serves the Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Affinity Group (AG) of the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities. This AG was established in 2020.
Purpose
This affinity group will explore the distinctive challenges, theories, and traditions of psychiatry and psychotherapy and how they relate to bioethics and medical humanities. We will stimulate conversations and ongoing projects among members of diverse professional backgrounds, including students, scholars, and practitioners who come from bioethics and medical humanities. We will make a concerted effort at each meeting to encourage multidisciplinary engagement on complex issues in psychiatry and psychotherapy. Our aim is to enhance scholarship, education, ethics consultation, and policy development in this area of medicine and health.
